Kevin was born and raised in Ireland. He has a huge background in sports and coaching which is where he developed a love for working and teaching young people. He attended St Mary’s University in Belfast and graduated with a Bachelor of Education. After graduating, Kevin moved to London and worked in an outstanding multicultural primary school as a Key Stage 2 teacher. During his time at this school, he worked as the Science Leader, Key Stage 2 Co-ordinator and he was a member of the school Senior Leadership Team. After leaving the UK, he moved to Dubai where he worked in an international school. He loves to create opportunities for collaborative learning during lessons and giving children the opportunity to take ownership of their learning.
Outside of work, Kevin loves to keep active by playing a range of sports such as athletics, football and rugby. He travelled abroad a lot through sports as he grew up and he continues to enjoy exploring new places. He is very excited about becoming part of the SJIIM community and experiencing the rich culture that Malaysia has to offer.
