Joe Bently joins the SJIIS community with a background leading sports and enrichment programmes. Having previously worked as Director of Sports & Enrichment at another international school in Malaysia for three years, Joe brings expertise in leading and innovating inclusive and competitive sports programmes alongside a broad and engaging enrichment curriculum.
Beyond academics, Joe is firmly committed to student well-being. This dedication led him to specialise in a middle leadership role, serving as Head of House and eventually progressing to Assistant Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead.
At the core of Joe’s educational philosophy lies a deep belief in offering students enriching experiences that extend beyond traditional lessons. Whether through co-curricular activities, exciting educational trips, or other innovative programmes, Joe is dedicated to providing opportunities that contribute to a well-rounded character development for all students.
