James joins us from the Isle of Wight, UK having spent four years working as a science teacher in a secondary school. He has a BSc Hons degree in sports science and whilst James is a biology subject specialist, he has experience of teaching biology, chemistry and physics at KS3 & KS4.
James believes that students should feel wonder and awe when discovering the sciences and aims to bring this into his classroom with the use of practicals and discovery learning.
Having previously held the role of house leader, James has a passion for the well being of his students and sees real merit in the Lasallian values of SJIIS.
This will be James’ first role outside of the UK and he can’t wait to get to KL and start to immerse himself in the culture, as well as trying out a few of the local golf courses!
