Catherine joined us in 2019 from the UK where she taught English and was Associate Principal / Director of Sixth Form at Rainford High School. She has an honours degree in English Literature from Northumbria University, Newcastle and a PGCE from Edge Hill University. Since joining SJIIM, Catherine has enjoyed leading the English team as Head of Department, as well as immersing herself in the school community and all it has to offer. Catherine’s particular interest in schools include developing the curriculum, as well as new and exciting ways to engage students and staff in teaching and learning. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling with friends, spending time with her dog and volunteering with Kechara Soup Kitchen.
