A LEVEL

Internationally recognised by universities all around the world, we are excited that students can opt to study the A Level at SJIIS from 2023. This will now give students even greater choice when choosing their Pre-University Course. Whether you are planning on studying in the US, the UK, Australia, Canada, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore or China, the academic rigour of the A Level provides that pathway. Upwards of 850 universities in the US alone, including Ivy League universities accept the Cambridge A Level opening the door to such universities as Brown, MIT, Harvard and Yale.

Thousands of learners all over the world choose the A Level, equipping them with knowledge and understanding of in depth-subject content, and higher level thinking skills including creating, synthesizing, evaluating, analysing and applying their learning to new and accustomed scenarios.

At St. Joseph’s Institution International School, learners can also take the Cambridge IPQ, a 5000 word research project in a field of their own choice. The IPQ enables students to experience research opportunities that both universities and future employees value. Along with the chance to engage in service learning, a key component of Lasallian Education, SJIIS students opting for the the IPQ as an additional module, have further opportunities to develop inquiry skills, essay writing skills, and civic and moral virtues that will not only develop them as people, but will give their applications the chance to stand out from all of the rest.

Supported by our University and Careers Counselling Programme, SJIIS students sitting the A Level examinations will continue the school’s proud tradition of obtaining university places at some of the world’s most esteemed institutions.
