The Jungle Book Musical 2022
We presented three shows of our first school production since 2019 on the 16th, 17th and 18th June, and we definitely came back in style! With a cast and crew of nearly 120 students, staff and parents, and a combined audience of well over 900 people across the three performances, The Jungle Book was the largest production our school has ever seen! The high standard of the students’ acting, singing and choreography were all brought to life by the fabulous costumes, makeup and set produced by an incredibly talented and hardworking group of parents. The sound and lighting were handled brilliantly by our student tech crew.
It was no small undertaking to put on a show of such a size during a pandemic, but our Drama teacher Miss Pardo took a leap of faith, and a group of dedicated staff took a leap with her. Mr Hague, Mr Lawrence, Miss Williams, Mr Wilson and Mr Hill all worked tirelessly for months to ensure the students were able to participate in a performance again, and judging by the huge audiences in attendance it was clear it was something the St Joseph’s community had been waiting for!
