In earlier messages (dated 24 April and 9 June 2020), SJIIM’s BOG Chairman, Dato’ Br Paul Ho FSC, had announced various schemes in response to the Covid-19 pandemic situation. Among the schemes was the setting up of the LaSallian Bursary.
Purpose of the LaSallian BursaryThis bursary is targeted at families that are severely affected financially by the Covid-19 pandemic. It aims to provide some support to them to tide over the crisis in the form of a one-off percentage offset for the AY2020/21 tuition fees only. The bursary will not be extended beyond this time frame.
Application ProcessApplications are now open to existing SJIIM students. The closing date for submission is the 30th June 2020. We regret that we will be unable to consider any application received after the closing date.
To apply for the LaSallian Bursary, please: 1.Send in an email or letter addressed to the school principal of your child stating: [please copy in the Senior Manager, Admissions at jinneekwa@sji-international.edu.my] a) the reason(s) for the application b) quantum of bursary requested c) duration of bursary required 2.Provide the following supporting documents: a) latest 3 month’s pay slips b) copy of EPF statement [if applicable] c) latest income tax EA/BE form d) any other supporting document(s) that will further support your applicationAll applications will be treated confidentially. A Bursary Committee, chaired by Dato’ Br Paul Ho FSC, will be convened to consider each application. Where necessary, the committee may request for an interview with the parents.
Outcome of ApplicationApplicants will be informed of the outcome of their application by 31 July 2020. Do note that all decisions made by the Bursary Committee are final and not subject to further appeal.
