Congratulations to the SJIIS class of 2024. This diligent, compassionate, and ever-humble group of students have put in an incredible amount of work throughout the duration of their International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, and their phenomenal results are a testament to their dedication, perseverance, and sacrifice.
As a school, we aim to be character-driven rather than results-driven, believing that if students aim to develop a strong Lasallian character first, that academic success will follow. This particular cohort is a testament to this philosophy, and we are equally proud of the positive ways they have contributed to our St. Joseph’s community as we are of their IBDP results. With a 100% passing rate, we applaud each and every student who received a diploma, overcoming personal and academic challenges along their unique journeys.
The achievements of the 2024 cohort would not have been possible without the support and guidance of our dedicated teachers, staff, and parents. We are grateful to everyone who played a role in supporting and nurturing these scholars into the truly remarkable people they are today.

This year’s results mark an improvement over last year’s, solidifying our school’s trajectory of continued success. Alysa Caroline Marcellus: 44 points – I am very grateful for the support I have received from my teachers, counsellors, mentors and peers over the 7 years I have spent at SJIIS, as well as the myriad of service and leadership opportunities I have experienced during my time here. As I transition to the next stage of my life, I will particularly miss the strong Lasallian community spirit within the school, and the friendships I’ve made along the way. Nonetheless, I will forever cherish the memories, experiences and lessons learnt during my time at SJIIS. Planning to go to UCL to study PPE.
Kim Kyeongryn (Angela): 44 points – Learning at SJIIS was always supportive. All the members of the SJIIS community were always there to assist me during the final stages of my learning journey. The teachers ensured that I was not overwhelmed by academics and coursework by carefully scheduling the deadlines, and they were always there to care for my well-being. Spending sixth form at SJIIS also allowed me to build lifelong relationships, not only within my cohort but with other members of the community through various co-curricular activities that SJIIS provides for sixth form students. Accepted into KAIST and Cambridge, will study Environmental Science and Sustainability.
Phang Yun Wah (Francine): 44 points – Being able to learn at SJIIS since the very start has improved not only my academics, but my overall growth as a person. This school gave me so many opportunities to explore and challenge new aspects of myself and most importantly, emphasised to me that mistakes are okay. With this mentality, I was able to take more risks and overcome barriers to develop into the more courageous individual I am today. Taking a gap year to intern in Singapore.
Nam Yoonkyu (Harry): 43 points – The studying enviornment is nice and the classmates are kind. Applying to Singapore, waiting to hear back in the next few weeks.
Cheow Jey Qin (Janice): 41 points – As a founding student, the past 8 years studying here have been an experience like no other. The teachers have always been highly supportive and kind, and the student environment is a nice blend of studious and lively. Planning to go to KCL to study Psychology with placement year
Ng Jen Ying : 41 points – I really liked the learning environment and sense of community at SJIIS. We were always supported by our teachers and the school community. Planning to go to UCL to study Environmental Geoscience.
