Audio Visual (AV) / Performing Arts Technician (Whole School)

St Joseph’s Institution International School Malaysia (SJIIM) is a Lasallian International School (3 to 18 years). It prepares students for the IGCSE, A Level and IB Diploma Programme examinations with an emphasis upon research-based teaching pedagogy and a character-building programme of activities inspired by the school’s Lasallian heritage. This includes service learning initiatives, and a holistic approach to sport, music and the arts.

SJIIM is seeking a supportive, knowledgeable Audio Visual (AV) / Performing Arts Technician whose  passion and experience will transform the outcomes of our students. The successful candidate will have a fantastic opportunity to join the staff of this ambitious and developing international school.

The Audio Visual (AV) / Performing Arts Technician will work closely with the Director of Arts, Subject Leaders and the Assistant Manager, Facilities and Operations to support the effective delivery of assemblies, performances and classes throughout the school. The Audio Visual (AV) / Performing Arts Technician will provide training and instruction to staff and students on the effective use of technology in the performance and assembly spaces.

The successful candidate will uphold the school values, and put pupils ‘wellbeing and character development at the heart of learning. He/ she will be responsible for promoting high quality education for all students in an inclusive setting, showing respect for all within our community.

Responsibility:

  • To monitor and maintain equipment
  • Provide support in the use of the school facilities
  • Ensure adequate stock of consumables
  • Assist in the maintenance of classroom and corridor displays
  • Support across the faculty in the event of absence and busy periods
  • Support teaching and learning in the classroom
