Lucy was born and raised in the South of England. She obtained a BA in Childhood Studies from the University of East Anglia, UK and went on to complete her Post Graduate Certificate in Education with the University of Suffolk, UK.
Lucy has taught in the UK, Vietnam and Malaysia for the past 12 years, initially working with adults achieving their IELTS qualification but she found her passion teaching younger students. Her main experience is teaching the English National Curriculum within KS1 although she has previously been a primary maths coordinator and phonics lead at previous schools in Malaysia.
Lucy is a firm believer in nurturing kindness and compassion with her students. She ensures her students are loved, listened to and feel safe so that they can achieve their full potential. She follows the latest research in how children learn best and implements recommended strategies within her lessons.
Outside of school, Lucy enjoys travelling South East Asia with her 2 daughters. She is also a keen fitness enthusiast and partakes regularly in local challenges.
