Joanne gained a diploma in Montessori Education through a correspondence course with Montessori St. Nicholas Centre, London whilst working at a Montessori kindergarten. She continued her learning journey and obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Early Years Education from the University of Greenwich, U.K.
Thereafter she moved on to hone her teaching and learning skills at a forest inspired kindergarten in Taman Desa before joining SJIIM.
Joanne believes children are capable beings who can do great things if we give them the opportunity to be heard, to express themselves, to try things out and act upon them. She hopes to inspire the little ones at SJIIM to be independent, confident yet kind and courteous towards everyone.
In her free time, she enjoys travelling and participating in outdoor activities.
