St Joseph’s Institution International School (SJIIS) Malaysia is a Lasallian International School (3 to 18 years). SJIIS is seeking an outstanding and inspirational Pupil Progress Leader (Assessment, Data and Tracking), whose passion, experience and commitment will transform the outcomes of our students. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of secondary school leadership, knowledge and understanding of using data to support pupil progress and teaching and learning, timetabling, strategic planning, staffing, intervention strategies and curriculum and assessment within a values driven environment.

Requirements:

We are seeking an experienced, passionate and knowledgeable professional who will work proactively to ensure the best possible holistic learning experience for our students. Prior leadership experience, as well as experience of IGCSE and A Level is essential.

Responsibility:
  • Ability to engage and motivate members of staff
  • Savvy with technology and to use it effectively to support school operations and curriculum development
  • Knowledge of up to date approaches to tracking, data analysis and assessment.
  • An awareness of how pastoral and academic roles work together, rather than in isolation
  • An interest in academic research, wider reading and how to use that research practically
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the UK National Curriculum, IGCSE, A Level and IBDP courses
  • Experience of timetabling and staffing projections
  • Overseeing the administration of all internal and external summative assessments and examinations (including mock and end of year examinations)
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive intervention strategy aligned with the school’s overall improvement plan.
  • Knowledge of rigorous assessment models and their underlying ethos.
  • Knowledge of, and interest in, policy development and implementation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, develop effective relationships and establish productive partnerships.
