Lisa obtained a BS in International Business from UNCC in North Carolina and worked in the US and Italy. In 2011, she decided to change careers and did the CELTA from Cambridge and taught English in Italy to students from Early Years up through to Key stage 3, until moving to Malaysia in 2015.
In 2017, she received the PGCEi with honours from Nottingham University and began teaching in international schools in Kuala Lumpur, teaching mainly Key Stage 1.
Lisa believes in a holistic approach to education, where caring for the emotional wellbeing of a child goes hand in hand with nurturing learning and academic achievement. She has an inclusive approach to education where children cooperate, collaborate, learn and grow together.
On a personal level, she enjoys travelling and exploring South East Asia with her husband and two daughters. She also regularly practise yoga and love hiking, reading and learning about different cultures.
