Julio was born and raised in Spain in an international setting and was educated in Spain. He has his B.A. in Linguistics, Literature and he holds a Pedagogical Skill Certificate in Education from Granada University, Spain. Julio has taught in Spain and Germany over the past ten years. In his previous roles he has had a range of responsibilities which include Head of Language Department in a private school in Málaga, Spain, Middle School Coordinator in a private international school in the Düsseldorf-Neuss region, Teacher in Charge of IGCSE and DELE exam preparation and International Baccalaureate Teacher in an international school in Hamburg and Schwerin, Germany. He has also been involved with pastoral care responsibilities for many years. Julio has a wide experience in international education. He has taught the Spanish IGCSE, IB Middle Years and DP curriculum for 10 years, this also included doing the Spanish Language ab Initio and Language B (Standard and Higher Level). He is passionate about music and in his free time Julio enjoys cycling, climbing, hiking, reading and travelling. He strongly believes in the values promoted by the International Education and he is really happy being part of the team in the Languages Department at SJIIM.
